Hi,
I have Changed the   manual steering from my 69 Charger for a power steering .
I have used a 73 and up P/S box.I had to get the pitman arm ,and all fifted fine.
The steering works fine, but now the steering wheel goes 1/4 turn out of center when the car runs straight. It went   in center with the manual box...

Can i solve this with an steering aligment or will i need something more?
Thanks for the help.

I would turn the wheel end to end & make sure the column is centered with the center of the steering box travel first , then adjust the tie rods equally , shortening one side & lenghtening the other until the wheel is centered

Yes,the steering is centered. Also the steering wheel when the car is stoped, but when you are running you need to turn 1/4 to the right to kkep the car straight.
Maybe, with the new pitman arm i have changed the toe a little,
It try to solve it with an aligment.

Could it   also be a trouble from the adjust of the valve on the top of the box?

Thanks.

If you start the car does the wheel stay straight or does it turn to one side by itself?   If it stays straight then the adjustment of the valve on top is good.   It would have nothing to do with the wheel being off center anyway.
I think with the later pitman arm the geometry migh be a bit off and you may have to align the car to correct it

No, the wheel does not move by itself.
Thanks for the help ;)
