Sipmle intake manifold question....

I just picked up a '71 Demon 340 and i've got to do a little engine work. Right now the motor has Thermo-quad carb on it that's on its last leg. I have a new Edelbrock 600 4-barrel, square-bore of course, and i have a Edelbrock Performer 318/340/360 intake layin around i'd like to use as well, but it has the spread-bore T-Q style top (where the carb bolts on), will the square-bore Eddy carb work with a T-Q style intake?? Might be a dumb question but if ya don't know, gotta ask!

use the thin carb adapter to bolt on the eddy intake.

So just running a square-bore gasket under the carb won't do?

sandwich( gasket,  adapter plate,gasket, Carb) together.

Yes....i agree...it adapts squarebore to spreadbore...or vice versa....
