Posting for a friend..

"Good morning, all. Brake light and ABS light came on in my '97 3500. Wont pass inspection because of the brake light. Anyone else have this problem? Brakes seem fine. Perhaps a bad sensor? Computer just need to be flashed? Any ideas?? Thanks, Ben"

Maybe it's the rear speed sensor?

The sensor on the top of the rear axle is the most likely cause.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

My 99 1500 did this and it was the sensor on the rear end.  :2thumbs:
