Well it's time to rebuild my 727. Motor is a mild 440 (480 hp) in a cruiser (4200lbs) that I take to the track once a month. I was going to get some local quotes from local transmission shops but while they have it torn down- are there any mods or extra things I should have em do? Beefier components? Shift kit? Or would you just have em do a basic kit and call it a day?

How much money do you have to spend? :D
The Trans Go TF2 is a great street/occasional track kit. :Twocents:

Shift kits, stall, valve bodies( even reverse manual valve bodies) etc.
These trans are very easily modded.
I agree I do like the transgo shift kit in the birdible.

Along with the other mods mentioned it's always a good idea to use rebuild kits that contain performance linings on the clutches/band. I prefer the red-lined front clutches and kickdown band over the stock friction material.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

I have right in hands an instruction sheet of a TRANSGO NOYOYO KIT Comman Service Kit SK TF-SC... dunno whats the diff with the TF2 kit

I'm translating the sheet for a buddy of mine who works on tranny stuff, and maybe installing the same kit on my car ?

The No-Yo-Yo kit mostly deals with the converter drainback problem, the TF-2 kit contains the No-Yo-Yo parts and much more.

This is a good topic, I plan on returning my car's 727 to stock and have never herd of yo yo? What's up with drain back?  :shruggy: (my car is still running drag set-up tranny wise, shift is rather hard in 1-2, 2-3)
