Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Thanks guys!  I hit the 35 milestone this year.  I feel old, but not as old as i felt when i turned 25, or 33, those seemed to be the two toughest years so far.  Saturday afternoon we got home from a bike ride to the park with the kids and my spouse turns on the oven to make a pizza.  She then runs upstairs, i get done putting the bikes away i go to the freezer and i can find a pizza anywhere.  Then she comes down stairs just as my sister and her boyfriend pull up with a pizza.  My spouse says, go get cleaned up we're going out for dinner.  Hey, nice surprise!   :yesnod:

Then after dinner we get home and she had all my friends come over and hide in the kitchen with the lights off.  As we walk in the door the light flips on and they all yell SURPRISE!!!!!!  That was cool, i've never been involved in one of those before.  Fortunately for me all my friends brought some very good bourbon for me to drink, along with some Sailor Jerrys.  Unfortunately for me i've already had a couple drinks and that is usually all i need for the night.  But, on this occasion i thought, one more wont hurt.  Then one more turned into about 5 more and i fell into bed around 1:00am.

Sunday i was soon reminded how old i was when the H-A-N-G-O-V-E-R lasts all day and into Monday..    :icon_smile_blackeye:  :icon_smile_blackeye:  :icon_smile_blackeye:

But, in better news, i went to my engine builders shop at lunch time Monday and he was just finishing up with preparing the block for assembly and if everything goes as planned it should be on the dyno later this week and back into my Charger on Saturday!   :boogie:

Happy B-Day... Sounds like you had fun. Surprise parties are fun. My wife (then girlfriend) threw me one many years ago.

Hangovers don't get any easier. Especially since the next morning your babysitters have gone home and the kids think its just another weekend morning.  :eek2:
