It definitely appears to be the one that was found rotting away in a backyard on Long Island. The guy who found it even built a model of the distressed 'Bird! According to an "update" on the Cars In Barns site from 2001, the car (at the time) was believed to be parted out. I am glad the owner's son decided to save it.

yes i remember a thread on that ! thinking it was parted out ! there was a FJ5 wing & some other parts i think , that were forsale or a guy bought , that seemed to match the age/weathering/ damage patterns on that cars in barns FJ5 bird

the wing was stolen, not parted out.  I met the guy a couple years back at Carlisle.
