Found some posts on this but no definite direction other than it is expensive. The console pieces just have small pinholes everywhere on the chrome. Any new thoughts? Have to get the bumpers done and was going for a package deal.

I'm in the same situation but I decided not to rechrome my console pieces as it's very expensive. The main problem is the material - pot metal will always start to blister after some time. Somewhere I read that pot metal is also called "monkey iron"  ;)
It might be cheaper if you look on ebay to get nicer used pieces and repaint them (69, 70) and put new woodgrain on.
