Congrats on a cool car and what a buy!  What in the world do you suppose happened to that fender!?  Looks like someone thought there were sardines in the wheel well!  Love seeing the '66's, reminds me of Dad's except his was a hardtop and had the 426!

apparently the previous owner hit one of those road construction signs one night....       what pisses me off is I can not find that missing piece of trim anywhere!   :flame:

Well - another update - got a lead on a 66 Satellite fender from a local club member...   "Yea - I got a primo one sitting on the side of the house...    if you want it come get it before i  :hack: it up with my new sawzall"

So needless to say I'll be swinging by his place tomarrow afternoon.  :2thumbs:

Well - a small update...    I picked up that Fender from a club member and it is beautiful...     no rust or cancer anywhere on it....

Now comes the debate...

Engines...     I have a complete 383 - that will need to be rebuilt...      but I also have a 440 that is sitting in my garage...    already built and I have a complete EFI system sitting on my shelf...      hmmmm

Think a EFI 440 would be too much for the vert ?

the only problem is the EFI uses a Edelbrock Victor intake...   which means I will have NO hood clearance...    A990 scoop here I come!    :D

Can you put spacers under the K member bolts to drop it and pick up the clearance you need? Or do you prefer to add the scoop!

well I was debating a scoop - I am keeping an eye out for another hood just in case...    I like the lines of the factory flat hood - goes with the car but the A990 scoop is pretty bad ass too...

Both will look great! Beautiful car. I have a friend who has a 67 Monaco vert with a 440 AT which is red now but was originally a B5 blue or something similar.

Alrighty...    Plans have changed due to my recent unemployment stint...    now that I am working again I'll start doing the small tasks here and there....      The 440 I was debating on installing in this has been sold (Needed the $$$ for the Charger) - I am going to rebuild the complete 383 I have for my 69 Road Runner in case my friend's 528" Hemi sells before my car is ready for it....      So...    I think this guy will get a 5.7L hemi down the road...

Back to the progress...    well there is not much...

Here is my task list for the rest of the week.
- Turn 11x2.5" Drums
- Turn 11.75" Rotors
- Media Blast spindles
- Media Blast backing plates
- Order new drum hardware kit
- Order new brake shoes
- Order new brake pads

I have discovered that the most i seem to itemize things to lists the more crap gets done.

Well - it's been over 4 months and I have not done jack on this car...      I have instead been concentrating on the Charger and the Road Runner...     I have however been accumulating parts for "Satty" -

I managed to score a brand new Weiand 4bbl aluminum intake for the 318 Poly = $50.00

I also tonight scored on a 600 cfm Edelbrock carb with electric choke = $25.00

I plan on using the magnum 500s off my Charger on here as well - considering I will be getting new wheel for the Charger to clear the brakes...

I am still debating on what the correct engine color is...   charts say red but have seen many satellites with blue poly engines...

Guess I am the only one that hopes you keep that 318 Poly in there  :'( . Most of the info I can find for engine color points to Red (Mopar Paint P4349218).
