proper roll cage??

could someone please enlighten me on the specs a cage most be to pass ihra/nhra rules, such as diameter of tubing, tubing thikness, hoe many point cage? ect..... 10.5-11.5 second area

That should help. But I wouldn't trust anybodys word on it unless they are currently racing, and I would STRONGLY suggest you invest in getting a NHRA rulebook before doing any modifications to your car.

Technically....you need a 5pt rollbar to be legal down to 10.0 ET  :yesnod:

I used an S&W 8 point kit with their "pro-street" rear bar option and tied the 45* down bars into the frame connectors. On an 8pt installation the bar diameter is 1 3/4in and the wall thickness is .120  :2thumbs: I also used "mild steel" instead of chrome moly.
