I know there's several topics on this but I don't have the time to do proper searches right now, since my computer crashed and I lost all the saved threads. Plus I like to have my own threads to refer back to.

ANYWAY

so I saw this auction for a kit that includes many items and doesn't include some-

-my question is, do I need the brake lines, master cylinder, front spindles and parking brake or do I use the ones I already have? just curious. I need all the help I can get on this, converting to disc brakes is a top priority.

what's the difference between drilled and slotted vs undrilled?

and looking at the Wilwood website, any explanation of what would be the best for me? the bottom 3 seem to be the most economic BUT are they going to be good enough?

as always, thanks guys!!

WHITE AND RED 69

Are your current brakes all drum or do you have disc? What size are your wheels? Are you swapping out all 4 of your brakes? Manual brakes converting to power? If your running 15s and not planning on going any bigger then the the 2 with 10.75 rotors should work. If you are planning on running a bigger wheel then your options will get much bigger and the brakes will be better. Get the biggest rotor that will fit in your wheel.

The difference in slotted vs non is that the slotted will help get rid of the brake gasses to help keep the brakes a bit cooler.

I have a set of wilwoods on the front of my 69 and they work just fine for normal city driving but when it comes to traffic and stopping in an emergency I wish mine were a bit better. They struggle for the last bit and is sometimes a bit scary. I have the 10.75 rotors (not drilled) but if I had the money I would go to the biggest rotor that could fit.

I have power drum brakes all around-except one of the fronts is out and I'm not replacing it if I'm going to be updating to discs. Right now the wheels are size 14-but those are going. I'm thinking about 17 front and 18 back, similar to what Mr Angry and some of the other pro-touring Chargers have. Just not any bigger than that, that's as big as I'll go.

Thanks for your help!!
