Hi, all.

Sorry I disappeared for a while, without a good-bye. I've received some concerned PM's lately & I decided that it's not fair of me to go any longer without letting you guys know I'm still alive.

These last few months, my life has been fairly soap opera-esque. My wife & I are divorcing, and that has taken the wind from my sails. I tried to hang out on the forum as usual for a bit, but couldn't keep a "happy face", so I thought I'd give it a rest for a while. I should have probably told you guys that I would be absent for a while, but didn't really feel like announcing my failure just yet. Until today, there's only 3 or 4 people I've told this to...haven't even told anyone at work yet.

In a strange twist of irony, the trial for the waste of skin who killed my grandson (March '08) just finished up last week. The verdict? Because there wasn't enough of a "smoking gun" for evidence, the jury acquitted him of child abuse homicide. How about that...great justice system we have here sometimes, huh? To say I'm pissed, doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I'm having right now.
So the irony is that because of the outcome of the trial, my impending divorce doesn't seem near as important to me, or at least for now.

I've been selling off a lot of my crap & unfinished projects lately, because I don't really care about them any more & money has been pretty tight...I even made a half-hearted attempt at selling my yellow Charger, but because I didn't price it at a giveaway price, it didn't get much interest. The upside of selling crap is that is that I have a bit more room around here now. For a moment, I even considered selling my blue Charger, but my "give a shit" isn't THAT broken just yet.

Anyway, I probably still won't hang around much just yet, instead I'll reserve that for when I've got a better outlook on things & feel up to my old self. Thank you for your continued friendship. I hope you all are doing well, had a good Thanksgiving & hope you have a great Christmas.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Hang in there, man.

Good to hear from you charger_fan! :2thumbs:  Sorry to hear about the divorce but sometimes it is for the best.  I know my wife and I have had our ups and downs and we have been through a lot this past year also.  She has had 2 miscarriages so far this year and she has not taken it too well and has really put a strain on us.  Just try to remember that we are all usually here to support each other.  I know when I was having a hard time with the first miscarriage, I posted it on here and just talking (ok, typing) and hearing from friends on here helped get me through it.  Lets face it, most of us are on here enough that dc.com could probably be considered an "extended family" if you want to call it that. I know for me, if I keep stuff bottled up inside, it ends up just making things worse for me, but again, that is me.  Anyway, just remember, we're always here to listen to anyone let out some steam every now and then :2thumbs:

I have went throught a couple of divorces, but like everything else, you will survive it, things will only get better, beleive me they did for me, its not the end of the world, you will probable meet another woman in the near future, just be strong and accept it for what it is, don't sell off all of your prized possessions, cause if you do, you will have more envy against her thinking she was the one who caused you to sell everything.. wish her the best and tell her to go get happy, Because that is what you are going to do. Your friends will be there for you, those you can't replace, her you can, your cars can be replace, but at what expense.. your only gonna do this life one time, be happy, not miserable, its up to you.. not trying to preach at you, but I' keep my cars through two divorces, there won't be a third. Money was tight and needed then, but I survived so will you and probably end up on top of the pile. Hang Tuff, and you always have backup here on  the site. If its got tits or tires its gonna cost you.. Keep the cars.. get another woman later. :2thumbs:

I'm glad you checked in. I'm also sorry to hear about your problems. I have been there (divorced years ago, and a cousin and his wife murdered just a few months ago) and it does get a bit easier with the passage of time. When you feel better jump back in the water here. Too many good people to stay away forever.

sorry about divorce. I wonder why most families end up in divorce. 90% guys at work are divorced or on their 2nd or 3rd marriage. This is just scary to a guy like myself. I wouldn't mind a good woman in my life but I end up married there's no way of telling the future.

Hang in there Grant.  Sorry for your troubles.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

Grant, sorry to hear about your divorce. Hopefully things will turn around for you in the near future. Remember, you always have your dysfunctional family here at DC.com to help cheer you up.

Sorry to see you take a break - - its totally understandable.

I've always enjoyed your threads, your wisdom, and great humor. Even more so, I was moved by your recent tragedies, and the courage and dignity you've always shown by expressing yourself in a high class manner.

You've more than earned everyones respect around here, and you'll come through in the end.

When that time comes.... I can't wait to welcome you back!  :2thumbs:

Damn Grant :pity: Hang in there bro. I miss ya, and your sence of humor. If anything, please don't loose that. Stay strong, and always remember, there are a lot of people here that care about you.
