Body work and rear quarter panels.

I'm looking over on eBay, and find a one owner Charger (so it says). Anyway, it says new rear quarters installed 3 years ago.

So looking at the picture, were these aftermarket that don't line up? Or just a poor job of line up.

Just want your thoughts. It must take a REAL Exprienced bodyman to put a quater panel on. I couldn't do it.

Anybody here actually put theirs on?

#130347326930 nice car really.

I notice on most original cars, the 'coke bottle' shape lines up nicely.

I install my own quarter panels and do my own bodywork, as Just because you're paying what you "Think" are "pro's" to do it, doesn't mean it will be done correctly as What's that old Proverm I always here? "I can't see it from MY house"....Unless you find a dedicated MOPAR bodyman that gives a sh*t about his reputation and isn't in it just for the money, you will see work like this coming out of a bodyshop....

Thats why I always do all my body work on the car. I've worked at many shops where the boss did them off the car &/or insisted others (his employee's) do it this way & worked with many other co workers that did them off the car. as a result 50% of the time they would come out screwed up like this. Some times you can do panels off the car & get lucky & sometimes you can't, like playing Russian Roulette. Then when done they say oh well, to bad. Not the way I work. LEON.

There was a dude that wanted my buddy restore a 69 mach 1 mustang that the work was already started on.

The guy paid 17k in work. The other shop started the metal work. Put on rockers and quarters without the doors on. Once they put the doors on the rockers bowed out in the center a good 3/4 inch past the door  :o
The quarters were sticking out 1/2 inch past the door jamb.

When my buddy told him all the work they did throw it out the window it will all have to be redone they guy almost cried. He asked if he could "work" it. My buddy was like sorry I don't want to half ass fix someone else's mess and then you tell everyone ya so and so did the car. Guy understood at this point.

IMO its chop those off and redo it.
