I am doing some light tune up work for my neighbor on his 77 Dodge van motorhome, (plugs, wires, cap, rotor, oil change) After doing all this everything was looking good until I shut it off to look underneath for leaks or anything out of the ordinary. I then tried to start it and nothing. No click, no nothing.I had started and stopped it about a half dozen times prior to this. The starter appears to be fairly new and all other accessories have good power to them it seems. I was wondering what happened to this thing. I need to get it figured out as I don't really want conflict with him or him thinking I messed something up. Anybody familiar with this type of problem and what it may be. Thanks In advance for any help.

The bugle sounds the charge begins. But on this battlefield no one wins.

Might be the cables. Try removing them and cleaning the contacts. If that dosnt work try jumping the starter relay. Finally if that has no effect, give the starter a whack and see if it works.

Another thing to try is put it neutral.

Yep, could be bad NSS switch, you can determine that by jumping the relay. Once you jump the relay if it starts to crank its either a bad relay or NSS switch, or possibly wire came loose from it..ect
