But I want a big block. How much work is it to change it into a big block ?
What part do a have to change ? trans ? rear end ? suspension ?
Please, give me som advice.

Get it if the price and condition are right. My car started out as 318/904/7 1/4 axle car, now it's 440/727/8 3/4 axle. We need photos!

Howdy!  I say go for it!  There is a ton of information regarding the conversion in the Engine section here.  This is one thread for reference, but there are many.

This site is awesome and can help with any and all questions regarding Chargers.  I love it, wouldn't be where I am with out this site.  (About to fire up my 440 for the first time)

I've never seen widened rallye wheels before, that's pretty cool. You must be mistaken about the 318 though, it clearly states HEMI on the tailstripe  :rotz: . The drive train is cheaper and easier to deal with than the bodywork IMO, so if the body is straight and the price is fair you can't go wrong. You being in another country that might be different, around here complete big blocks can be had for a few hundred $.
And another 69/70 Charger with the wrong inner tailight bulbs  :rotz:
If it ain't broke, fix it 'till it is.

looks like a big block already....no?

Hey, en svensk till!
Saw that thing for sale and I'd concur with GreenMachine... If the body is good, go for it. Swapping out the 318/904 for a 440/727 is child's play in comparison with replacing, say, the rear quarters or a rotted out floor/subframe. Big blocks CAN be found around here, you just have to be ready to pay a bit more or get lucky... Picked up a 400/727 for 400 bucks recently  :2thumbs:
Make sure you check the rear end out, could be a "weaksauce" unit under there on account of the 318. Got the fender tag, perhaps? That would give you the ability to see exactly what was/is in the car from the factory, brakes, axle, trim options etc.

In Sweden there isnt that many Chargers for sale. They are more expensive than in the states. This one is about 7200-8700dollars cheaper than i BB in Sweden.

Yes, thats what I thought. A good Charger BB in Sweden is very expensive (also in the US).
Nej, Västerås. Du kanske kan hjälpa till ?

En riktig svenskklubb här ser jag. :icon_smile_big:

Nice car you got yourself :2thumbs: Putting a bigblock in there isn't a problem, what's your plans with the car?
Cruising or racing? Maybe both? I think for us europeans a stroked 400 engine is a good alternative for less money.

Looks like a small block to me  :shruggy:

LeadfootBob

400 block with a stroker kit in it is an easy 500 cubes, should be enough for most of us  :D

There's a 318 in it now, at least according to the ad.

And hey... If you buy it and feel a need to swap out those rallye wheels, I'm interested  :coolgleamA:

And what will the budget be on that kind of engine ?
If i buy it, im going to change the wheels ;-)

Cooter

I expect I'd have to know what was hiding under all that shiney paint before I bought anything....True, converting to a Big Block today from a 318 is easy as pie with all the comapnies out there making motor mounts/swap kits....I've seen alot of cars with shiney top coats and rusted out frames...

I reallize it's gonna be hard for you to look at it,b ut I'd have to know before I had it shipped over..We have another member I think I remember reading about that had this very problem and is spending the coin to make the car right... :Twocents:

...or put a 440 stroked small block in it and everything will directly swap over and bolt right up.

There's too many Swedes here... I don't like it!  :nana:

Looks like he has the wrong tail lights/rear valance too? The trim doesn't seem to span the rear lights.
