I will hopefully be putting these on in early january just after I get the new floor pans in. I just need to make the decision between which ones to get. I like the design of them in that I can weld them to the floor pan all the way up to the front instead of just a few pieces of box tubing only welded at the front and back. They are just about the same price so that does not matter either. I am just looking for experience with either one.

XV, I do not believe that the picture shown is the actual picture of the B body connector

like the look of the Xv stuff
& their lower core support also , if i was doing mine again would use that piece  :yesnod: , although thinking on a second generation would  cause problems with  the stock radiator set up :scratchchin:

As for the frame connectors i think the two are so similar that it does´nt really matter wich one you choose. But, if you are going that route, do yourself a favor, and get the inner fender bracing, and lower rad support from XV, and a set of torque boxes :2thumbs:
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

I used U.S. Car Tool, just because I found them before XV.

If I was doing another car, I'd try XV just to see if they fit better-my body guy said he had to do 'more than just a little' custom fitting to get them perfect. YMMV.  :shruggy:

probably the same damn thing    :Twocents:

Ive installed both and they definitely are not the same......The Us Car tools set has an overall better look with ears and more meat at the rear, but the XV set fit better atleast they fit pretty well on my car.

Thanks guys! I think Im going to try out the XV's. I am also going to use their lower rad support. I have decided against the inner fender supports and torque boxes however. I will be doing a cage in my car so I am going to tie in the frame rails with the cage. There will be bars going from the a pillar bar thru the firewall and inner fender that will end at the front frame rails. I will also steal an idea from the Hotchkis frame connectors. They bolt to the spring plates then are attached to the torsion bar x member. Ill set the XV connectors in place then weld on a piece and bracket that will bolt rite to the front of where the leaf spring bolts to. Once it is all good, it will be burned in for good, after the floors are done of course. I cannot think of any other way to make the car stronger than that.

BTW, I am doing a 3 link rear but will be using the factory leaf spring mounts for the frame side connector of the lower's.
