Bumper styling

I was looking at the bumpers of a 1970 Cutlass today and thinking about how massive they looked hung on each end of that car.  Then I realized the bumpers on my 67 wer a little on the large size as well and I came to ralize that one of my favorite styling features on the 69 and 68 Chargers would have to be the thin bumpers they put on them.  To a lesser degree I would include the 70 models and unfortunately the 3rd gen ones fall into the big category like my fastback.
Now this isn't too say that I think any of them are unattractive or don't belong on or detract from the car they are mounted on.  I'm just saying I like the thin blades on the 69 and 69 better.  I will also add that the Mopar musclecar bumpers all seem to blend well with whatever car they are on and that I find some of the Olds and Buicks to be just way too damned big.
And that's it, just an observation, no earthshaking point of view or anything like that, just a bored observation of style and my personal opinion.

I like a lot the first Mavericks bumpers. They, specially rear, suits nice in to the body lines

 I read about how the '67 Mustangs' bumpers set a new standard for a tight fit and following the body lines, The Dodge stylists used it as a bench mark when styleing the Second Gens. It's in that Hi-Po MOPAR magazine Tribute to the Charger Article I posted a couple times now...
