Can someone decode this please?

PT383R

Thanks

69CoronetRT

PT= Tenton engine plant
383 = CID
R= Regular fuel - probably a 2bbl block.

What are the next four numbers? That will tell you the engine assembly date.
Seeking information on '69 St. Louis plant VINs, SPDs and VONs. Buld sheets and tag pictures appreciated. Over 3,000 on file thanks to people like you.

Ghoste

Give us the next four and we can tell you when it was built (the engine that is).

Here is the picture, but the number is PT383R23850836

I can't see the date code before the PT. Where can I find a 10,000 day calendar counter. I have looked and can't locate one. I discovered that the Mopar 10,000 day calendar began on July 29, 1961.

By the way this block is in my 68 Charger with a 4 BBL and a H in the fifth digit of the VIN.

Thanks,

Ghoste

2385 means it was built on February 7, 1968.

Was this probably a two barrel motor because of the "R" for Regular fuel? Would the 330 horsepower motor have a "P" where the "R" is in the above picture?

Thanks,
