Here you go guys.

It's a 72 that's been modified for sound competition. It won loudest stereo competition in the USA back in 2000 in Kansas City. Maybe some of our Kansas Mafia might remember this car.
Car runs, drives, seems pretty solid for a northeast car. Been in storage for 6 years. He has the rear seat.
He want to sell it before winter a need some input from the 3rd gen experts

Oh Yes, the car is metal flake. It has over 20 layers of clear on it which gives it a textured finish. The clear is wrinkled in some spots where it was put on to heavy.

A 400ci. 4spd too. Doesn't look like they ruined anything that can't be fixed. I'd grab it  :yesnod:

Looks like a bunch of squirrels got together and took a dump on the dash...

Daytona R/T SE

You'll need a chainsaw to get all of that lumber out of there. :hack:

I would need a big dumpster for all the crap I'd rip off of that poor thing. :eek2:

RD

i wonder why he used 73/74 rear bumper mounts on that bumper? (the spacer gives it away).

as far as stereo competitions, its out of date i can imagine, so if he was hoping that would help with the sale, it probably wont.

5-6K due to the 4spd specifically as they did not make a lot of those.  but realistically, 4-4.5K just due to all the crap on the car.  clean it up some, make it look more original, put in the back seat, and it will be worth more.

Definitely clean off the dash and take that stupid hood scoop off the hood :Twocents: But other than that looks pretty sweet

I have no clue but if you saw the paint job up close you'd know that someone smoked a big fatty while tricking out the car. Even the bumpers are metal flake.

Jamey, I did notice the 73/74 rear bumper. The trunk lid is damaged also. He probably found the cheapest/closest thing he could that would work.

I rapped on the lower quarters and rockers, sounded like tinny metal not the block of wood sound you would get with a bondo queen. The wheel well and rocker trim look brand new which leads me to believe this car was garaged most of its life.
There are some small bubbles under the vinyl roof. No bubbles at all on the rest of the car. He had twelve batteries in the trunk to power his stereo system so there is quite a bit of wiring to remove. The engine bay has the typical hacked wiring for a car this age. The door panels and seat backs are upholstered in some kind of velvet. The upper door panels have speakers in them.
I did not check to see if it is numbers matching. He is advertising it as a SE model since it has the SE emblems. I thought all SE models started with a WP not WH, also thought that A/C was standard in SE's.

not an SE car.. if it was, it would have the "opera" rear windows, instead they are standard type for 71/72 vehicles.  oh, and the WH gave it away  :nana:

are those rocks on the dash?

Maybe the guy who did that was a "Rocker" who liked the Rolling Stones :D

IMHO someone needs a good kick in the  A  S  S !!! for doing such a thing to a charger...

BROCK

 :smilielol:

Actually, IF he had done this to the entire car:  It would be preserved.

On a different note...Weren't there a few early WP 72s without the
opera quarterglass?
