I was perusing e-bay and a vendor had the valances listed, so I called to make sure that they weren't just preselling them, and they said they were available  http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/73-74-1973-1974-Dodge-Charger-Front-Valance-Panel_W0QQitemZ290360742894QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439ad953eecheers:  Just to make doubly sure I called AMD and they had just gotten them in yesterday, although their website still shows them out of stock. http://www.autometaldirect.com/ShowItem/100406%2073-74%20Charger%20Front%20Valance.aspx  He also said that the rear valances would be soon (I  know, I've heard that before also)  they had some in for quality testing.
Score one more for us poor 3rd gen guys

Bob

The front valance does look nice. Price not to bad either.

mopar73

It beats the heck out of the mangled ones I have now.  I would be spending way to much time trying to butcher the two I have into a workable piece to make it worth while.  BTW I did just place the order with the E-bay place :icon_smile_big: can't wait to get it.  I think they will be dropped shipped from AMD anyway so hopefully soon!

rudyjrusa

if the quality test is not good - they will probably send them back to china - it might take longer than you think!

mopar73

they already did the quality checks for the fronts, only the rear ones are yet to come

Nice!  :2thumbs: I'm going to order one for my 73 that currently does not have one. Anyone have any ideas where to find the lights and chrome trim?

I was waiting for you to chime in on that one. Always happens.

Christmas came in the mail yesterday!!
I was looking at my old valance and the amount of work would more than make up for the cost of this thing.  It looks great and I can't tell any difference between that and the original piece

I'm going to be an smart$$ :icon_smile_big:

I can notice a difference  :scope: LOL... but not that important  ;D

Inner brackets shape/contour ;D

what got me stunning about is THATS THE EASIER PART TO MAKE ON THIS, EXACTLY TO THE ORIGINALS.

Well, I didn't think I had to comment about the damage to the original being different. :smilielol: I thought the brackets were all supposed to be straight?  I assumed that the bent ones came because of the damage done to the valance during its life.  The original does have one straight bracket on the non damaged side.
Looking at Beers, his appear straight.
