Is there any problem using the engineharness for a -70 model on my -68? Would be easier since I have the ecucables already in the harness then
or are there other differences?

I think should it work. I think the only problem you can get is some wire turned around at plug to bulkhead that can be easily tunred around to match

that is IF some deal with that, what I doubt

but wait... I understand the electronic regulator, but 70s still didn't get the electronic ignition, so you still will need to "hack up" the harness.

UNLESS you demand that harnes already modified, what I think Evan's is able to build ready done to elec ignition.

Same as if you buy a 68 with all electronic upgrades built in  :scratchchin:

70 would have solid state voltage regulator plug in going to firewall and 2 leads for alt fields I believe.  :scratchchin:

Correct but I will just leave it since the alternator has a regulator. I did discover that the -68 harness have a contact for the Hornelay
and the -70 harness not :shruggy: Where is the relay for a -70 located then if not by the horns like the -68? :scratchchin:

oh is true....

70 relay is underdash. However wire must be present on same way because is going to same spot on engtine bay, just that signal is already COMING from relay on 70s directly to horns ( positive ), and 68/69 signal is GOING TO the relay mounted on radiator core support ( negative from steering wheel ), then to horns.

68/69 have an extra wire from  positive source inside engine bay,  the alternator stud, to feed the relay, but doesn't run to inside the cab

Maybe I should open the -68 harness (is also new) and switch the 2 hornharnesses? Also would keep the stock look. :scratchchin:
