If Im sitting at a redlight and then floor it when it turns green, the car chokes up and then goes. Sometimes it farts on itself or backfires SOFTLY. It idles great and drops gears great if I floor it any other time....like at 60 mph. Ideas?

I thought maybe I could swap out the coil?

I'd check/reset timing/advance and accelerator pump action first.
