I am now 6 months out of surgery. For the most part I am doing better, but I have a new pain that is scarring the crap out of me... I think I am doing a little too much these days. Remodeling a 2000 SF house is not smart at this stage of the game. Just don't have allot of choice.  :icon_smile_blackeye:

For anyone getting ready to do this: DO WHAT THE SURGEON SAYS.........  When you think you can do things, YOU CANNOT!!!!!  Give it all the time you can to heal and then take some more time. I think I may have pulled part of my fusion apart.  :rotz:

Sorry to hear this. Sounds pretty scary. I can't imagine how you feel, maybe you better at least get in for an x-ray. I know what you mean on you got to get stuff done.....it's damned if you do and damned if you don't  :P

I've been lucky so far. 2 steriod shots has taken care of my l4-5 bulge but I am not 100% and somedays I have some pain in my right leg and somedays I feel like I have never had a problem in my life. This stuff sucks folks! Take care of your back! Its not worth it being a He-Man and lifting heavy stuff!  3 years ago I was in bed for 2 weeks straight. Only able to get up and go take a leak and back to bed. Couldnt sit at the table to eat. Was terrible pain I have never felt and it was constant never going away.

Yeah I missed this too Ron.  Hope it's been smooth sailing since.

I have a titanium "bird cage" around L2 & T12.  It's been a year since I had a steroid injection so the pain had weakened.  But it's back, it didn't help that I fell over backwards in my chair twice in less than a week.  Now the pain is shooting down my right leg again.  And I'm suppose to not have feeling waist down.  ;)

I was out of surgery for maybe a day & the therapists' were working me over.

What's the old saying?  "Do as I say, not as I do."  ;)

Hope it's nothing too serious.

Hey guys, please keep in mind that the shots and drugs do NOTHING but MASK your pain. I have a very high tolerance for pain and that is what got me into trouble in the first place. You body is letting you know you are messing things up when you feel pain. If you mask it and think you feel fine you will more than likely do MORE damage to yourself than you already have.

Yes, Do as I say....  No doubt.....  :2thumbs:
