...November 2009, pp. 40, regarding the Hollish Bros. A Competition Coupe in a letter to Engle Cams;

"...345 cu. in. Olds, runs an Engle reground cast cam, 4-71 Blower & Hilborn injection...new 'A' Competition record 140.62. Best speed turned 142.85. Lowest ET 10.14 sec., all on pump gas."

Pump Gas? Makes me very nostalgic for Sunoco 260. What on Earth was available as 'pump gas' in 1959?

RECHRGD

If I remember correctly (and that's a stretch these days) in the 60's Chevron Custom Supreme was 102 octane.  It was nicknamed "white lightning".   Bob
