Floor Pans/Lower rear quarters

The car still has factory undercoating on it, and I need to install new floors pans, not trying to sound dumb here, but, do you think it would be better to install new floors, then sandblast?, or sandblast then floors?

I'm just trying to do this in the best order to save money, and trying to time it just right for paint.

Hmm... Not a body expert by any means, but I'd say you'd be wasting time, material, and effort by sandblasting the rusty old metal you're just going to cut out to replace.

On the other hand, you'll want to at least sandblast all the areas where you're going to be welding the new metal in...

So sandblasting is like getting to the final steps before paint?, body filler?, dents?, dings?, etc

I know its a dumb question but hey, you never know until you ask

I would cut out the old sheet metal, have it sandblasted and then replace new panels.  I think you are going to have to manually remove the undercoating as the sandblasting will not remove it.  If you sandblast after removing panels you can hit some areas such as inside frame rails to eliminate some rust.

I did both with my 73, first I replaced part of a floor pan and repaired some obvious roof and other issues then cut out one quarter and the lower parts of the other and then had my local friendly sandblaster haul the unibody on a my rotisserie to his shop to blast the rest.  5.5 hrs plus hauling 2 miles each way 285$  best money ever spent.  I did the rest at home with my blaster.
Whatever you decide, immediately after blasting, blow out the sand and get epoxy primer on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, forgot to add... where can you get rear lower quarters? cause I only know two places that sell FULL quarters, Goodmark, and AMD.

You would be best off to buy a set of skins (the ones that only go to the top line) and cut the patches you need from them. Those hand formed patch panels that can be bought are a joke.

Sorry, top line? do you mean before, or after the gas tank cap?
