I'm trying to find new seat covers for a 1971 Charger similar to ones shown in attached picture:

Here are links to additional/bigger pictures if needed:

I contacted Dante (Dante's Mopar Parts, Legendary dealer), but he suggested that they were leather. I don't think so, I'm pretty sure they are vinyl. There isn't much texture on them though, pretty smooth and shiny. They look factory to me, but what are they from and can I get them somewhere? Thanks.

eehm, those are for 4th gen Chargers/Cordobas

On those seats, frame and back panels are the same than 2nd 71 half up 74, foam, dunno maybe the same 72/74 period but covers are definitelly diff and lot padded

to fit on a 71 you can do it, but will need new foam anyway if you want to match all 71 model, since 71 seats are totally diff on foam and cover than 72 and laters. You can keep the frame and back panel though since matches the second 71 half production

( I'm noticing rear seats are also 4th gens design )

Thanks, Nacho, this helps a lot. I was getting desperate trying to find a picture of a 3rd gen with those seats. They were in the car when I bought it and fit so good I thought they were original (even the back seat). I was confused by the back plastic panels to think these were early 70's pieces, being more an E-body guy....  :2thumbs:

I'm not that worried about "wrong" look of the seats, but the front covers are shot in so many places that I need new ones for the front. Back seat is fine. Legendary doesn't list these on their website, so where could I try next?

E bodies and B bodies, both got same changes on frame and back panels on mid 71 year

depending on what do you want to make OR funds... I would remove the covers and foams, getting the right stuff for 71. If they weren't available will be a headache, but they are available.

this is the right 71 Charger interior look. Note the laters back and release button

( note, I won't be guilty of your reaction on this unique and drooling brown interior LOL )

and here is another 71 Charger interior with earliers back and release button kind

same cover, of course same foam... also rear bench view

Nacho you do not like the unique chestnut interior??
My 71 was built *10-70,  before my parts car 4-71 and has the later (chrome button) and the parts car has the earlier??
Both cars have the chestnut interior. This sort of limits my color choices if I change from the Dark Green it was originally.

I am going to have to check if they are from same plant. I had not noticed the difference (parts car seats are in my basement) and other in the car. I looked at you picture and then the seats?? you have a lot of detailed knowledge on these cars!

I like the brown interior also as it does not seem as common, I have personally have never seen in any of the Chargers I have looked at. I bought the parts car first and found the Keeper 71 a year later. It is nice that I can pick best panels from each car as they are both 71 SE.

The parts car is now a shell and is going to the Metal Fab worker that is going to fab my lower patch panels and metal work in trade for work.

He has a 71 Sebring with bad front frame and cowl are as well as the area around rear window.  I am happy to get the car out and to get someone to fab the patch and butt weld them in. His work is amazing. He does not do finish body work only the metal work. I do not know about down your way but I have spent months looking for someone that knew what they were doing as far as the metal work. I have found lots of good painters etc.

well, yes, the seats backs are diff due the diff release button. Earliers are bigger button and hinge cover is metallic, the complete assembly is with separated hinge covers, just like the 70 kind.

laters are one piece back panels including hinge area, with smaller release button ( no matter if chromed or color keyed )
