i saw the results of that one crash mentioned,  they totalled a mercedes SUV and a dozen parked cars the SUV rolled on top of,.. the two girls in the car were picked up but the male driver booked thinking he'd wear off the Blood level alcohol I guess... I have jumped a couple hills here the result was a split trans case and mashed headers but that was the first week i drove my Charger... Now my Charger is far more stout but i still have to be carefull because as you may remember a couple years ago I broke the frame crossmember passing some slouch at the base of a hill.
You can imagine what happens when you crest one of these hills at a high rate of speed...
But the folks are trying to have fun in a rental they really don't care about and half the rentals here in SF are convert Mustangs... which i guess brings out their inner Frank Bullets...  :shruggy:

Its easy to believe that goes on all the time.  And whats the other famous steep hill in Frisco... Lombard St?  I drove down that once with the rental, just to say i did it.

What would be really impressive is when the "hill flyers" seek their inner Thelma and Louise, rent a '66 Thunderbird, and replicate that movie jump.

Just thinking out loud.  :D
