Hi - for all those that read the situation I was in before with the charger stuck in the mans yard and him ignoring my phone calls etc (read on cuda-challenger.com)

Things worked out with the charger. In the end I didnt need the department of fair trading, I just turned up to the mechanics doorstep, told me to come the next day, came over like 4 days uin a row to get told come tommorow etc but in the end we rolled the car out of there, all parts were there, nothing lost or damaged AND he offered to reimburse my money for the work not done. Basicaly with his whole life situation, he doesnt know how to manage business and thats why for him the easiest answer is "stuff it all" because he doesnt know how to deal with things. So it wasnt as bad as I thought it was.

Car is at PP&R to get everything done, and they know what they are doing as its a chrysler restoration shop. Yes cost is 5 times more expensive and 4 times per hour more than I was ever earning but at least it will be done correctly and it will/should be done (ready for pickup) by start of october!

Im just glad we worked it out with no mention or use of legal action as this way it all ended on a good note.

Thats good man, what was the other car you said you had? A cuda or something? You get that one worked out too?

G-man

That hasnt been worked out but the guys about finished it (took him 5 years to do a rear quarter :eek2:)

From now on, resto shops or do it yourself.

Because he was taking at least 5 times longer and was 5 times less professional.

Plus whose to say 5 times less was even a bad amount to begin with... maybe G-Mans overpaying just to get the job done.

G-man

He was charging 150 a day

The shop is charging 85 per hour

He takes 4 weeks to do it.

Shop takes 4 days.
