When I pump the brakes the brake fluid wants to overflow out of my master cylinder. Does this mean that there is air in my brakes lines?

Ghoste

Is the gasket sealing properly, is the lid on tightly?

Each time you depress the pedal a small amount of fluid shoots back into the reservoir under pressure, if the reservoir is overfull or the gasket is faulty it will leak overboard.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

The pedal is not hard but the charger is a front power disc brakes car. I seem to have to pump he bedal to feel like i can stop.....should i change the master cylinder?

Is it a drum type master cylinder on there?

Matthan

No I don't think so. It is a dual res. master cylinder

Ghoste

Disc brake cars have a larger capacity master cylinder.  Are the two halves the same size or is one bigger than the other?

first off, make sure you rear brakes are adjusted properly. Rear shoes out of adj. Will cause to have to pump pedal to get to come up.
Next, bleed brakes once adjusted in rear. If not, it will be forevet till you get bled out properly.

It means your lid is not tight or your seal is bad.
