I'm not a 3rd generation fan that much but we were bidding on an electrical job today.  It's the old F.W. Woolworth warehouse here in South Texas where I live.  Inside is what the owners employee told me was a 71 Charger.   Metallic Brown in color  and a beige vinyl top.....torn of course....and pretty rusty....but workable.  Can someone decode this for me?...I only have 68 thru 70 info.   the fender tag is missing and so is the engine and tranny, along with other stuff too.   The VIN reads: WS23V1B******   I left out the sequence number because it's not mine,  but i have had thoughts....haha.   Is it worth anything?   It's never been wrecked, and I know this car has been in here for many, many years.

440 6 Pack Charger R/T..Buy it!

TylerCharger69

Well...it has no R/T badging on it.....that I can see anyway....It does have the arrow though on the center of the grille

Rolling_Thunder

all Chargers had the arrow on the grille...    the R/T emblems should be on the decklid and front fenders forward of the doors (i think)

Ummm, yeah, if it's in decent shape it's probably worth grabbing. Make sure the dash wasn't swapped of course. I believe it should have the two vertical slots in the doors and some sort of hood scoop. It should definitely have heavy duty brakes and suspension.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

TylerCharger69

It does have the 2 vertical door louvres ....but....the hood is gone....along with other stuff....most of the interior....gone....dash is still there other than the face of it....steel black wheels, with hub caps....they kinda resemble the old early 70's plymouth fury hubcaps.....not the dog dish ones...doesnt have hidden headlight doors.....turn signal indicators on the tops of the fenders, chrome.....like i said...no R/T badging that i could see,  or stripe package for that matter.....door interior pieces are gone as well.....I dont even know if it's for sale or not.  The guy wouldn't let me take pictures with my camera phone either.....but it wasn't his so I understood that.

b5blue

If it's not for sale leave it alone, respect their wish.

Nacho-RT74

also "Charger R/T" at passsenger dash insert.

no stripes... it could be painted OR stripe delete option.

Decals On louvers ? if not, then mostly sure painted cause even stripe delete option, louvers should got blackout decals.

Worths ? yes.

Fender Tag ? maybe was a rammed hood... N96 code. IS not a default with 6 packs but very common ( was standart with Hemis )

but with taht VIN definitelly is an R/T 440  6 pack

wing and front spoiler were optional... hideaways were not available with color keyed bumper, and R/T tail lights are black on keyed colored bumpers... but yes, kinda off

we have here a 6 pack( this specifically with Rammed hood :D ):

The blue one....that's the car, other than this one is metallic brown with a beige top...no black stripe going down the body, other than the 2 vertical louvres are blacked out.....but....no R/T badging.....rear light louvres look the same though.....and this one is not equipped with hideaway headlamps

hs1973

He said it's NOT FOR SALE.....the correct thing to do is invite the owner to join the forum, if he refuses...call CSP on him. (Charger Protective Services)

he said he doesn't know if it is or not   :shruggy:
Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.

The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

TylerCharger69

Yeah...the guy didn't know if it was or not....if it is....I'll post up because I'm more concerned with getting mine finished than taking on another project.  If the owner actually says...yeah I'll sell it....then maybe someone here will be interested and at that point....he'll probably allow photos to be taken......and as far as a fender tag....there isn't one.....it, along with a lot of other stuff....is gone.

TylerCharger69

Well...the car is NOT for sale......jeeeez....the owner must be 85 years old!!!!   Give it up, man!!!!  There's no way this guy will ever be able to do anything with it.....he walks around with a colostomy bag for pete sakes!!!!   Sorry guys....I tried!!!
