I'm going back to college next week so I decided to do the intake gasket on my 98 ram 5.9.  Got it all back together today, started it it idled decent. When I hit the gas it died and would not start unless I hit the gas? A mechanic friend said you have to let it run to heat up and let the gaskets set but I think I have a intake leak? I havnt tested it since I fried the battery by hooking the charger up backwards not paying attention.

I would've put some gasket seal around gasket and let it sit so it would dry on there.
