I'm trying to set the timing.
400 BB msd ign and dist.
At idle It shows to be 12, at 2000 rpm its around 20 but seemed to fluctuate a little.
At 2500 the #s on the ballancer just start spinning around.
I'm not to good with motors and timing but the #s spinning don't seem right to me.
Any suggestions on what to look for??.
Thanks

Sounds like the outer ring of the balancer is free spinning....(There is a rubber ring sandwiched in between)  Happened to me before.....Just speculating though...kinda hard to tell without seeing it happen in person.   Assuming this is a stock balancer

It's a fluid ballancer from Jeg's or year one, Can't remember where I got it

mine fluctuates at iddle about one or two degrees back and forth... dunno remember reving up.

I'm still searching for the reason :shruggy:

( stock dampener )
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Sometimes my timing light picks up plug voltages from the other wires...then it looks like the mark is moving all over the place
