Is not in my mind to have them right now but, what advantages and disadvantages about them.

I guess shorties will give you better access to starter motor.

And shorties are a breeze to install.  I was reading the install instructions for the full length, raise car 36"- remove clutch linkage if manual, remove shifter linkage if auto- remove starter, remove motor mount bolt- raise engine 3"- etc etc.
With shorties just remove motor mount bolt pry engine over about 1/2", drop the headers in from above,  bolt them on ,replace motor mount bolt and your done.

you have to pull the steering center link to install full lengths also.....i'm planning on running shorties, but we'll see what happens by the time it's back on the road....
Remember the average response time to a 911 call is over 4 minutes.

The average response time of a 357 magnum is 1400 FPS.

You only have to pull the center link with a smallblock (at least all of the big block full length headers I've ever used did not require pulling it-and conversely all of the smallblock ones I've used did).

ahhhh.....thanks for the info....i knew the hemi's didn't pull the center link, but didn't know it was all big blocks  :2thumbs:

All of the ones I've dealt with.  ;)  I'm pretty sure it's all of them but there always seems to be an oddball out there someplace.

Ok, nice

diff about HP gain ( or loss ) between them?

Them, HP diff between shorties and stock HP exhaust manifold....

full lengths on my bodystyle are not hard to do. if you run a stock starter that is the only harder part as it has to be removed then installed as the header slides in from the bottom. nothing else gets removed.. as far as clearancing all brands are different.  as far a 4 speed linkage just the z-bar has to come out and that is a big 30 extra seconds of work.

shorty vs long tube for power would be minute. you would probably not notice a whole lot of power difference between an equal pair of headers- ie- you cant compare a shortie 1 5/8 header to a full lenght 2 inch tube header.  a dyno would be where you see the biggest difference and it will also depend on how much you have done to the motor. but overall the longtube's will give you more low end torque then the shortie's or mid-lengths but its down to single digit levels so the average seat of the pants meter probably wont notice.  the main thing you will notice is in the exhaust tone. you can always tell a car with longtube headers on it vs one without. the sound is deeper and much throatier then one with manifolds or shortie's
