I was thinking of moving the leaf springs inboard a few inches on my 74 charger to make more room for bigger tires. Is this pretty doable of a pain in the ass to do? And would it be even worth it to do?

it's fairly doable if you're mechanically inclined, and I believe some welding is required.  However, I don't think you'll gain much unless you also mini-tub the rear end....which is a slightly more involved project.
