I was just thinking today about this whole green movement and how it relates to the Toyota Pious. Those people who are better than the rest of us, and more green than Kermit, pride themselves on dropping $25+k on a new Pious, right? Well what happened to recycling? Aren't these the same people who refuse to buy paper unless it's made of at least 30% post-consumer product? Aren't they the same people who buy all their clothes at Goodwill so Tahitian children don't have to work in sweat shops? Aren't they the same people who would have us all live in huts made of garbage, ride bicycles and take reusable grocery sacks to the store? So why are they wasting precious resources on new cars when they could be recycling used cars? There must be 200 million used TDI VWs out there that get 50 mpg they could be recycling rather than wasting resources on a new car. And should I mention that there's no way to effectively recycle the batteries that come in the Pious?

That is exactly right bull!!! we'll run out of land to put all of those dead batteries (which only last about 2+ years due to the rapid charging/discharging that goes on) long before we run out of oil...just my

I bet you don't want to see it at all. I guess if you weighed 85 lbs like her and only ate 1/4 cup of rice per day, one square of TP per sitting would suffice. For the other 98% of the population, no.

My mom was raised on a farm with her 8 siblings, my father by his parents that went through the depression. I have always reused, not TP, but jars and such...i used to be thought of as cheap...now i'm green! Go figure!
