What wiring harness should i buy

Hi Guys

I am restoring a 67 Charger, it's painted and ready to be put back together, trouble is I have all the original wiring,but it's not in the greatest shape in the world..Should I try to use it,,,or go out and by a wiring harness kit (if so,,what brand or kind)..This is not going to be a top of the line show car,,,just one to jump in and go for a ride. My wife is limiting my cash flow on this,,so I can't buy the best or top of the line,,,I just need something to get the job done..

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I put all new harnesses in my 67 and it was some of the best money I ever spent in the car.  And as far as not needing because its a driver not a show car, those are the ones that need it most.  My car is also a driver and it's nice to have a reliable electrical system in the car and go without worrying all the time about fires and failures.

From what I have read on here year one sells M&H harnesses that are pretty good.  Seem to be the best replacements imo

M&H via Year One is the only place to go for the dash harness. Most everything else get from Bill Evans. Better price and quality then most others out there.

I agree 100%. I'd replace all the wiring in my Duster if I had the money but I don't.

I refuse to accept the risk of 40 year old wiring setting my car on fire. Replaced it all with the M&H harness' from Year One.  Plug & play. Top notch.

I chose the mopar retro wiring harness from www.ronfrancis.com based on cost alone.  The exact repro stuff from year one is costly but I'm sure it's probably worth it based on comments above (plug and play).  I'm in the middle of hooking up now and everything is there except accessory lighting stuff like dome, glove box, trunk light, door switches, ect.  But the basics are there (starting, charging, gauges, igintion, turn signal, engine harness, lighting front to rear).  Everything to get you up and running and safer than stock setup in my opinion not difficult to install.  Thicker gauge charging system wires and battery feed wires and ammeter bypass for example when it comes to being safer.  When it comes to the accessory lighting I'm just going to take that stuff off my old harness, clean it up, replace the wires and hook it in.  Shouldn't be that hard with the proper diagrams and patience.
