how much is it roughley to get the rear quorter panel replaced??

My 68 charger was hit from the side, and i was going to get the rear quorter on the right side replaced. How much is it roughley??

The hard part is finding a resto shop to take it in.  Once you do that then is is between $50-$85 per hour.  Last one I put on also needed an outer wheel well and a trunk extension.  Then there is the issue of the corner cap if it is a 2nd gen.  Then the question of matching the paint comes up.  Do you have pictures?

i can do all the paint, i do that myself and yes it is a 2nd generation charger. All i have is polaroid shots too Sorry all i need done is some one to put the panel on and line it up correctly

Sorry, a bit too far from Racine Wi for me but check out the resto shop and hot rod shops in your area for someone who will do a good job.  If you can handle the paint why not the quarter?  Welding ona quarter is pretty easy these days with the AMD repops.

The full quarters match up pefectly .  You may want to get involved with a Mopar club by you and someone would be able to point you in the right direction.  Good luck.

Not for everyone. Some people can do it in there sleep, some cant even figure out how to cut off a quarter.
I have a car here in my shop, the guy is an awesome painter at a high end body shop near me. He has no clue how to do the work needed. All the guys around him are very talented, but they pull frames on 2008 Fords, or 2006 Hondas. They have told him to send it out, they cant (wont) do it. They dont have the knowledge or the equipment to do whats needed.

If I were to do it. I would only do it on time and material basis as you never know what you will run into. i would quote 40 hours for starters. then are you going to lead in the sail panel or use all metal? then does the shop have a clamping type spotwelder to duplicate the spotwelds around the wheelwell. do they know how to duplicate the undercoating in the inner side in the trunk?    I wouldn,t do the job for less than 2500 dollars. just not a money maker otherwise.

I just noticed he mentioned the car was Hit in the side. No way to quote something like that, not even a rough guess. Like superbirdtom says, start the quote at 40hrs and go up from there.

i will take some now, when it was hit it creased the sheet metal where the c pillar meets the actual rear quarter panel. It pushed the whole panel up about a 1/3 of a inch making it impossible to line up the trunk lid with the rear quarter. It also buckled up it looked like in the rear.

Could need some pulling on frame machine at $70 a hour. LEON.
