Currently rebuilding a crashed Daytona which was only on the road for 10 years and has a total of 47,512 miles. Question being, the wiring is in quite good order and wondering should I use the original wiring or replace it with new... Your opinions and ideas would be greatly appreciated, Tim.

my opinion is for a car as historic and nice as a Daytona I would just replace all the harnesses for piece of mind...      :Twocents:

Being your doing a all out resto.I do all the wiring over fresh. Over the years it gets corroded and loose cracked etc .Which causes numbers of issues resistance for starters Be sure to checkout the amp gauge .It has 12 volt power on both sides. It housed in a metal .And insulated by thin cardboard and problems stem from there.Unless your real familar with wiring and have inspected the harness and known trouble areas. And feel confident it will work

You cheap out with 40 year old wiring you are just asking for trouble. Go with new and avoid having your pride and joy burn up.
