I am having a hell of a time trying to find out specifications for the 72 Charger 400 engine.  I need to get some information on internals to research stroker kits, and it seems that there is a serious lack of info regarding that engine. 

Maybe I am missing something obvious.  Dunno.

 3.38 inch stroke, 4.34 bore
1969 Dodge Charger SE 383 727 #'s matching with original 8 track
1996 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4
2003 Hummer H2

Do you know if this is the "B" block motor?

well there are SB (small blocks) and the rest (big blocks) are known as B/RB engines

the b was the original of the 2 with 350, 361, 383, and 400 displacement options

the RB (raised B) came afterward and had 383-413-426-440 displacement options
