I ran across this the other day when I saw one door on a barn open. Supposedly this car has been sitting in this barn since the early 80's. I can't even get all the way around it. The one door on the barn won't open without digging it out and I can't hardly squeeze past it. I'm sorry there aren't more pics but it's pretty cramped in there. I wish I would have had a flashlight. I'm surprised the pics turned out as good as they did with no light in the building.

The car is pretty basic. Standard drum brakes, it does have factory air and power steering. The vinyl top doesnt look ripped. The girl said she would sell it but no idea what it might be worth. Her father parked it there before he died and nobody has moved it since. The only thing they've done is jack the front end up and put blocks under the front bumper to take the weight off of the front suspension.

From what I could see, there is a small dent in the roof but it does have a little bit of rust on the drivers door and the paint is flaking around the windshield. Other than that I couldnt see anything wrong.

My friend would love that car probally. He has a sublime '71 Valiant 4 door with the tower of power (Slant 6) ;)

That grille with the pointed, front beak, was used from 1973 to 1976, & not the most desirable of years when Swingers were available. If you can get it to run with nothing more than fresh gas, filters, & a tune up, & if the worst of the rust is limited to just the doors, which I seriously doubt, then I'd say it would be worth no more than $1500. Doors are pretty easy to find for these cars.

It will need a lot since it's been sitting for ages, like brakes, hoses, gas tank, etc. Rodents have probably chewed & stunk up the carpet as well as other interior parts, & may have ruined wiring inside the dash. If you can get a better look at the underside, check the usual frame rail, rust issues that Mopars have, & also the spare tire well in the center of the trunk floor. That's where the gas tank straps are mounted.

The inside doesn't smell like rodents have been in it but it would surprise me if there were none.  I did try to move the engine with the fan. At first it didn't want to move but after trying to go back and forth a few times it finally started to turn. If it will do that I'm pretty sure it will run.

I think I can buy the car for under a grand.

4 door late model swinger.... if you can get it for well under $500 then I would think about it and I'm talking like 2-300 bucks.   :Twocents:
That car sadly isn't worth much at all unless it is something you absolutely have to have and the money you will throw at it to get it on the street is really gonna make you mad. Although a great find, I'd be walking right past and looking for something a little more ready to go.
Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

My initial thought was disc brake parts for my 68 but this thing has standard drum brakes.  :brickwall:

It's not something I want. My want list is a duster or a 3rd generation driver.
