Earlier this month a new radio station opened in Portland that plays nothing but '80s rock (sorry, no New Wave) and best of all... there are absolutely no commercials.

http://playmycoolsongs.com/main.html After you click the link find the "listen live" button and enjoy. No downloading some stupid invasive software, no entering emails or signing up, no BS, it just comes in on your MS media player 10 seconds after you hit the button. I don't know how they do it but I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Oh, that's cool, I didn't know they had videos. I just clicked on the Listen Live button, opened a new window and went on to other things. :2thumbs:

You start to feel old when there are "nostalgia" stations dedicated to music that you listened to as a kid/teen. It happened to me when I discovered the 90's alternative music channel on Sirius and when the local station (KROQ) started doing a 90's Flashback lunch hour.

The guy is still around doing his show. I think it's on Sundays at midnight. I don't know, haven't listened to much "regular" radio since I went with Sirius a few years ago. Now that I think about it, I stopped listening to KROQ regularly at some point in the late 90's. Rock radio in L.A. sucks.

That's nothing. Back in about 1994 I drove a school bus and sometimes played the radio once the crowd thinned out a little (and you could hear yourself think). A good song came on just before I dropped off the last student and I said, "Oh, here's a good one. Do you like Van Halen?" She answered, "What's Van Halen?" ::)

I know.  When the heck did Dr. Feelgood become Classic Rock?  I always thought of the Monkees as classic rock, not Motley Crue.

  No kidding.

Back in the day I would walk through the local college campus on warm sunny spring/summer days and check out the eye candy,  :popcrn: now when I go through I feel like they are all saying, look out, Dirty old man!  :D  How the times change.
