My charger starts slow after warm.  Was wondering if anyone has timing specs for my 440 four barrell. 1973.  Thanks.

Every car is different, and if we were to nail down each specific one by heads, intake, porting, carb, bore, stroke, fuel type and grade, et cetera... we would still need to account for differences in the reading of the timing light, timing mark, et cetera.

Shoot for 12* at idle, mid 30's at 3-4k. That will get you in the ballpark and then fiddle from there, dyno fiddling is best fiddling. Spark plug reading is second best.

If your have a stock 8.2 CR motor , you can run more timing . Try 15-18 deg at idle .38-40 tatal centrifical, see if it knocks.
