           I just made that up, trying to tie the comments together.

   But hey, if you are good at casting for fishing, don't know why you couldn't beam a squirrel in the head with a
      1 oz. weight on four pound line on a trout pole, I can cast pretty accurate with that from time spent placing lures into rivers for trout fishing.  Kind of like shooting from the hip with a pistol, you do it enough, and it will go where you look and point your arm.

Around here, .22 rimfire ammo is still readily available. Most of the more common rifle ammo isn't completely wiped out, but has gone up in price...it's the freakin' handgun ammo that's as scarce as duck teeth! There's one sporting goods store here that has long shelves for ammo...just dust & lint is on the handgun side nowdays. Pretty crazy.

Reloading is definitely the way to go, especially if you mold your own bullets. But trying to get primers & powder is the main problem there. Consider yourself lucky when you find them in stores. Around here, there's a bunch of the hoarders who bought ammo & supplies, who are now flipping them on the local classifieds at twice the usual going rate...or more. I hope they got stuck with rooms full of ammo & supplies, when the prices come back to normal.
