Hi, I installed a new plastic gear in my head light motor of my 70 charger, put everything back together  and it work great , so I started the car, move it, turn it off, go to start it again an nothing, so unplug the head light motor and the car starts ok, do I have a short in the motor? I got the motor check out 2 years ago.   Thanks    Sly

Did you try to turn the headlights on to see if they opened again before you tried to start the car and then try to start the car ?

If this works your headlight motor might still be trying to turn after the doors are shut (as in the contacts did not open when it got to the end of the cycle to make it stop)

This would act like a short

Hi, I did what you said , turn headlights on and she started, , so there's a short in the motor? Can that be repaired?   Thanks
