Painting aluminum

I have some aluminum trim on my interior that needs to be repainted and I'm just wondering if there is anything unique about doing it that I should know.  I'm not talking about anodizing, I'm talking about an aluminum strip with a black stripe painted in the center portion.

Sand clean, Etch prime,Seal, Paint.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I use the green zinc phosphate primer by TEMPO part # 015802/model # 802 this stuff is marine grade and very good! (even in salt water!)  :2thumbs:

THATS THE BEST STUFF EVER ,I USE IT ALL THE TIME BUT YOU WANT TO SEAL OVER IT WITH SOME DP -50 OR EQUIVELENT BEFORE PAINT.
