Tach Hook Up - 74 Charger

I am looking to install a tach on my 74 charger (electronic ignition) , but I don't have the instructions to hook it up.  Studip question but where would the tach wire get its feed from - the negative on the coil?  Thanks..

If you are talking about a factory style tach then yes, from the negative on the coil.

yes, - lead of coil what is the ECU sends the pulse signal to close circuit to coil and make the spark ( same than on points system )
