QuoteRubber necking 77 year old, thats the problem right there. Anybody over 70 oughta have to take a new driving test as half should not be on the road.

I agree.

Starting it at age 70 might be difficult to sell to the public, but even just requiring it after 80 or 90 would already improve the roads.

Some would call it unfair age-bias to do this stuff.  But we already slap all kinds of age-biasing limitations on everyone younger than 21.  We'd only be telling the elderly that they have to pass a test.  It wouldn't even be restricting anyone outright.

I agree with the testing. Living in the land of blue hair, I can tell you that very many wrecks are caused by the elderly. Insurance companies have even shown the numbers. Our insurance is out of sight due to it..  :RantExplode:

We have a new law here that says the police now have the right to pull anyone over for suspicion of NOT wearing a seat belt... It feels like more patriot act to me, but at least it gives the police the chance to check licenses, registrations and insurance and hopefully remove most of these jerks with none of the above.. We have a huge problem with illegal drivers and no insurance down here... You can bet their will be targeting too....
