Talked to the original owner of my Charger today

Awesome talking with him. He has some pictures of it he'll scan for me, I'm emailing him some pictures right now. He said he bought the car brand new at Crosstown Motors in Edmonton (double confirmed what me and Robin figured out) and he told me he sold it around 1979 because his wife wanted kids so they needed a station wagon. He says one thing he regrets selling is that car. I have a reciept from 1974 for new exhaust. He remembers it and told me that's when he put headers on the 318 and wanted better exhaust. When he sold it, the rust in the quarter was starting and so was the driver's floor pan rust. I'm excited to see vintage pictures of my car

Wasn't he being a butt to you last time? I wish the previous owner of my '70 would talk and send pics. I contacted him in '06 and sent him some pics of the car from the 80s the next day and I've been waiting 3 years for him to do the same with some current pics. Ain't going to happen.

As simple as it is to copy some pictures these days its just one of those annoying things that never gets done.

How do you guys track them down?

I luckily got a whole bunch of reciepts from the car. My dad misplaced them before he moved out. I'm sure I'll find them when me, my mom, my sister and my mom's boyfriend move this summer. All I have left is an exhaust and muffler receipt back in 1974. It had his name on the reciept so I took my chance, went to the Alberta phonebook site (assumed he still lived in Alberta), typed in his name, it came up. Phoned and bingo

I'd like to meet the previous owners of the Scow in order to punch them right in the face for the way they let the car go bad and I had to repair. shameful.

My biggest car regret was sell my '69 4spd Charger too. If I knew my ex was going to leave me less then 2 years later, I would of kept it. Now I'd be happy just to own another 2nd generation Charger shell with rust long as it was a true 4spd car
