Hey everybody, nice to see we got ourselves a new board!   I've been cruising the site for some weeks and finally decided to post again.
I do however, have a reason to post.

For those of you that are wondering if I bought that black primered 440/727 69 RoadRunner, well, I didn't.   I believe it sold, and I couldn't come up with enough $$$ to buy it quick enough.   I have however, found another car...1967 Coronet.

I've talked with the owner, he says that there's absolutely zero rust on the car.   It has has zero dents.   Chrome trim and bumpers are all great too.   Original 318/727 car and I'm not sure what's been done to the engine.   It comes with an all new interior ready to install, new fiberglass hood, new headers, and a new torque convertor.   It needs paint.

He wants $2000 for it and has had it forsale for some time, so I"m thinking I might be able to pick it up for $1700 or so.
I'm trying to sell my motorcycle so I can afford this car, but have one guy that's really interested in it.

I have had a not so secret fetish for a 67 Coronet since, well, since for a very long time.

Oh, you have no idea.  Ever since that edition of Mopar Action came out with the "Copper Bandit" 67 GTX I've been looking for one!
I just need to sell my bike first!

Welcome back!

Good luck on getting that car, it looks like a decent project.

What kind of bike are you selling?

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Well, sorry but i didnt miss you.

You know what happens in this situation..... that car will sell and hour before you sell your bike.  For only $1700 i'd try and get a loan from the 1st national bank of Dad or somehow come up with the cash and buy that car...

Pocket Thunder, yeah I know how that goes.  I probably wouldn't of missed me either...lol

Well, as far as getting a loan from my Dad, that's not gonna happen.  He says I don't need 3 "vehicles".  I got my 87 Dodge Ramcharger for my daily driver, then got my bike this last summer for gas prices.  Wasn't bad getting 60 MPG (2000 ninja 250, fun but not entirely quick).  I've been waiting for a response from the owner on email and have requested a phone number, but he hasn't gotten back to me in 2 days (already talked to him once).  You know how that goes. :rotz:

Quick? Ummm...no. But it's better than a Vino or some other putt-putt. ;D

BTW, they're expensive to fix from a crash...so don't crash it. :icon_smile_tongue:

It's obviously not quick.  Sure fun as hell though up to 60 MPH.  I think it's ET is 14.6 or something.  That's god aweful slow, but it's still fun!  Plus cheap insurance, and 60-65 MPG, and they corner extremely well.  Very "flickable" bike that's fun and responsive.

Well, I talked to the guy tonight.  Turns out he's selling it because he has too many projects.  IE:  Just finishing a 73 Challenger, and is starting a 69 Charger R/T project.  :)  very nice guy, and was real honest.

Details:
The car has been sitting covered for a year or two.  It has an 8 3/4 3:23 suregrip in it now, comes with a NEW fiberglass 6 pack hood as well.
Original vinal top car, and he has all the trim pieces for it.
Manual steering/brakes but has larger drums from his 69 RT.
Front floors are solid, but have minor surface rust.  Trunk is PERFECT as is the backseat floors.
The only ding in the body is on the underside of the rear bumper, not even visible, but the car is perfectly straight otherwise.
No electrical problems, all guages/switches work, and comes with extra engine wiring harness.
Even has the original radio in it.
Dash pad is good and not cracked.  All glass is good.
I might be able to buy it for $1750, and am working out the finances now (hopefully I'll be able to cover it).
