Trunk extensions?

Hey,I'm installing a set of AMD trunk extensions and I was wondering what the two tabs on the bottom are for?Should I cut them off,bend them over  or just leave them?I just have it c-clamped in place ,but it's already to be welded.I was wondering about the tabs first.

The original extentions had the tabs but, I believe the tabs had a hole in them. I don't know if they got bent or were just left as was.  Mine were gone (rusted) when I got my car, but remember seeing other cars with them.  I hope others with more info will chime in as I'd like to know more also.

yeah the top ones had holes but there was 2 on each side on the lower edge also ....

Ya,there are four on the part two with holes at the top and two on the bottom.I'll leave them for now,I plan to weld it in place tonight.

when i got my charger it had the bottom ones folded back on the lower quarger outer skin  original  panels  ..

Now that I think about it,that would make since.Bend them back and that would help with the placement when it was being built.I welded the passager side in tonight and started fitting the drivers side.It's great to finally move forward instead of backwards.
