Can someone tell me where to connect the red hot wire from my pertronix ignitor on my 66 charger?  I have a connection from the positive side of my coil to my ballast resistor and there telling me to actually connect the red ingnitor wire to the resistor.  Wouldn't that be the same as connecting it to the coil itself?  Any help would be appreciated.

You want to see where you get the most voltage, with the ignition on. That is where you want to hook it up. If it says resistor, then hook it to the resistor,or,again where the most voltage is coming from.

Seen some users have trouble with this ignitor is it worth using?

See my other post. You can't hook the wire up to the (+) side of the coil unless you're running a full 12v to the coil. Which you cannot do with a stock coil and an ignitor 1.

You need the ignitor 2 and the flamethrower 2 coil to use the full 12v. In THAT case, you're bypassing the resistor and you can have the red wire connected to the (+) side of the coil.
